- Additional Information
- Moses was listed in the register as having a "black complexion" and "two scars on his right thumb." He was 5 feet 11.25 inches tall. In Common Law Book D, his appearance was listed in the same manner.
- Later in Common Law Book D, in the case of Commonwealth v. William Thomas and Moses Thomas, there was an appeal from the judgement of John P. Pitzer, a justice who condemned the two men to be whipped. The judgement was reversed, and the defendants were discharged. Further, Moses allegedly failed to pay his taxes and levies for the last five years. He was ordered to be hired out for no less than 10 cents a day by the sheriff of the county until he paid his owed taxed of $8.70.
